This collection consists of a diary of Addison Childs, acting engineer at the State Capitol, Lansing, Mich., including notes on his work, on members of the Legislature and their actions, on events of local and national interest, and personal accounts, dating from Jan.-Dec. 1883. The collection also includes a typescript of the diary and a news-clipping of an article about the diary, by Gwen Matthew, from the State journal, June 9, 1950.
